		In order to reach this wonderful rural house, one has to drive up the Arno valley until reaching the lovely village of Compiobbi. From here the way leads through the cool forests in the surroundings, and through a small, unpaved road you reach the hilltop on which the rural house is situated. The house is subdivided into two units. Villa "Il Sogno" ("the dream" in Italian) was the dream of the landlords indeed: a rural house immersed in the peaceful nature of Tuscany, with a marvellous view, at only a few kilometres distance from Florence. But since the owners only live in the house a few months a year, they decided to let it to Tuscany-loving guests for spending their vacations.
				The villa extends on two floors. On both floors, there is an exit to the garden: Ground floor: spacious entrance, laundry room with washing machine,WC, big double room with bathroom (with bathtub and shower), second double room with bathroom (with shower). First floor: Living room/studio with Sat-TV, hi-fi system, and Internet connection, kitchen (4 ring hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher) with exit to the rear part of the garden and the pergola (with barbecue), living room with fireplace, double room, bathroom with shower, twin-bedded room, bathroom with Jacuzzi-tub and shower. 		Heating (if necessary): Euro 150 per week. Domestic animals are not allowed. The careful renovation of the rural house respected the original structures of the building. The former veranda was transformed into an elegant, well-lightened, and spacious living room. The use of traditional construction materials, such as the typical "serena"-stone for the stairs or the dark wooden beams in the rooms, ensured that the fascinating atmosphere of typical Tuscan rural houses was maintained. The renovation of the kitchen and bathrooms, however, followed most modern criteria, guaranteeing all comforts. In the large garden, there is a furnished pergola for outdoor dinners. The beautiful swimming pool (14 x 7 m) in the front part of the garden ensures refreshment and relax on hot summer days. Florence with its Renaissance-architecture, museums, art galleries, and stores is only at a distance of 12 km from the villa. Pontassieve with several shops and a big supermarket is at 8 km. The isolated and panoramic position of the villa guarantees a peaceful and relaxing holiday. There are olive groves and fruit trees on the large private property of approximately 2 ha around the villa.
